If I had all the money in the world, I wouldn't pay double MSRP for a car.

What if it is worth more than double MSRP? Its all relative.

At this price point it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I would rather a 288GTO.

I'll take you off of our guest list for the auction, then. :(

This. Enzos, F50s, F40s, 288 GTOs, etc. have been a multiple of their MSRP for years (decades), and they still seem to change hands fairly frequently.

I’ll stake my territory here- this car and other FGT will be the I should haves of the future.

Auction is the way to go. Unless you have an extended payment plan .

Will be watching pulling for all the money....

The car achieved $1,075,000 on the block, equivalent to $1,182,500 after fees.

    Thanks for the interest, all.

The car that sold just before ours went across went for $1.485mm after fees. It went about 20 lots before ours. There was a white one in Gooding & Co.'s sale that would've probably done pretty well, but it was withdrawn.

So what’s your theory on why yours went for $400k less 20 lots later. That seems like a big spread.

Maybe as simple as color. While gorgeous for sure, I imagine Verde Mantis to be rather polarizing.

You may like the color, but do you want to own the color?
