Don’t confuse Pista values in Europe and US. Totally different ball game.

Euro specced cars came standard with all sorts of carbon and a much lower msrp.

Would lower spec Pistas be easier to move on resale? Would higher spec cars command a higher premium? Just curious what everyone's perspective is.

Personally I would only consider a spec with the exterior and engine carbon options. If you are spending this kind of money then get you what you really want - this isn't a bargain shoppers car.

Its interesting how market observers bark out there is little to no ROI on CF upgrades yet those that want these cars are willing to pay more for the paint and CF that makes the car feel special. The common ground is more like min spec cars are for flippers and those that are stretching to get a chance at an exotic without doing too much perceived financial damage. My opinion lies close to yours. Pay the price to get the car you love in the spec you really want.

So according to the Gooding auction in Scottsdale today the true value of a pista is 360.000 usd Hammer price. Estimate was 475.000 to 550.000 with 50 mls on the clock.

add the 10% juice and you are close to 400k. I was going to go today but didn’t. I didn’t have a chance to see the spec whether it was bare bones or fully loaded.

    Light spec low msrp

“This 2020 Pista is finished in classic Rosso Corsa (Racing Red) over a special order Blu Scuro (Dark Blue) interior and was delivered new in October 2019. With a total suggested retail price of $382,669, this Pista was specified with numerous additional options including a two-tone racing stripe, Alcantara carpet, yellow brake calipers, colored safety belts, black ceramic exhaust pipes, radio navigation system, and the racing seat lifter system to adjust the driver seat height.”

So went for $22K back of sticker--before fees.

Carbon or not (I get the argument of 'importance' but F it), someone is enjoying.

    Congrats to buyer.

I think high $300’s is a good price for a Pista.

Basically the buyer pay MSRP for this pista, the seller lose some cash.

    That’s the estimate.

382 is bare bones. Buyer technically paid over msrp with the juice but this is not a desirable spec.

I’m not usually an advocate for a bunch of carbon but on a semi limited car like the Pista, I think you need it.

That particular car has been for sale for a while. I recall seeing it priced super low, just run the VIN. Apparently no one wants a base Pista which is understandable.

Hmmmm, am I missing something? I've had a 488/variant for 1 1/2 years and had no problems with the door handle or keyhole. To what 'disaster' are you referring?

I know, I know. I get it and nice tax write off for him as for charity...was making light of $360K Pista 'non-hammer' price

Plus as one of the largest GM dealers he gets to kiss Mary Barra's ass live.

  25. Ok, ok, I'll come clean.

I just bought a Pista, and paid a significant premium, including my left testicle and my second born. I bargained hard. Seller wanted my first born, but got it down to the second. So I figured I came out ahead. But now I feel totally suckered.

    I am an idiot.
