Dang FordGTDriver, you have been a member on here for some time with relatively few posts. I must say however, please post more! I have really enjoyed this thread and your comments in particular. Clearly, you have passion for these metal beasts (it shows) and you express it as if reading an adventure novel. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Completely agree with FordGT. It s an amazing car and just brings smiles throwing it around sharp fast corners. It’s much faster, forgiving, and better balanced than the 488 in corners. Whereas with the 812 you have to gently squeeze the accelerator out of corners and manage the weight and roll, the Pista is both faster and more forgiving. However, on long straights, up to over 160 mph, the 812 is faster and a master. Having chatted to a couple of the Ferrari professional drivers they considered it to be as good if not better than La F in corners but obviously not as fast on straights. I found it took some time to learn to do dough nuts with the Pista...but what fun when it comes right!
193.5 mph in the standing mile, no launch control. Lots of jaws dropping around here. Next are the longer runs...stay tuned.
Just bumped the length to 2.3 miles. Gentle start, tiny short shift on each gear (I refuse to drive in auto).... 210.913 mph
Wow! Never have I been so glad to be so wrong. That is mighty impressive. Can't wait to take a Pista Spider to the Autobahn and see what she will do on a really long stretch. Did it feel like it was at Vmax or do you think there's even more given a minute or so more at wide open loud pedal?
