^ We burn through these wand frothers frequently so just got the base black one.

Don't be afraid to experiment with different coffees until you find one you like. Bustelo is our standard. Sun Dried Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelelektu from Starbucks was a recent coffee we enjoyed that made a nice espresso...T

How long did it take to get that through autocorrect?! Wow! I’ll pick up some, and others... lots to try. Do you grind it yourself?

I cheated, cut and paste! Bustelo, no. Other stuff, yes. We have a Braun burr grinder. I set it to one notch above espresso grind. Illy is good IMO. Almost anything Italian is good. Lavazza Crema e Gusto is our favorite among the Italian brands...T

Really appreciate ALL the insights. Lavazza Crema e Gusto is rewarding, yet cheap, innit. No matter what I put it in, always day-making enjoyable.

Since Bustelo is recommended, so very readily available & cheaper than dirt, I'll have to pick some up next go-round. Seemed strongish in Moka Pot & I really don't recall if I ever put that thru the Delonghi in uses here & there over 4 years or thereabouts.

Boke's an illy man - Buys it by multiple kilos. Also knows his way around the lever machines, but I digress . . .

^For good price to performance ratio, the Latin coffees are hard to beat IMO for everyday java. Cafe Caribe, La Llave, Bustelo, Goya, etc. Also, if you work for way through the various options, most you can find through Amazon, you should be able to hit on one that has a flavor profile you like. For us, it was Bustelo...T

Wow! I know this machine, as I know, it's very nice. I'd rather say, you'll have to buy something new. I think there is no need to purchase something very expensive one more time, because everything has its "shelf life" and a cup of coffee from an expensive machine for home usage doesn't worth it, as I believe. Recently, I've been searching for a good coffee machine for me and my wife, because coffee in the morning is our daily routine and my mate said me to chose any from this list
I'm not an expert, but he is and I decided to believe him. Anyway, I enjoy my coffee every morning with my new Gaggia Espresso Machine.

I’m reading this thread with great interest as I’m thinking about replacing my Pavoni Professional.

I like Crema e Gusto for an afternoon caffe. Illy is another I like very much
For morning coffee, I’ve been using Graffeo (their “whole dark bean” blend) for over 30 years. It’s my hands down favorite.

Good article. Gaggia invented the espresso machine, so you can't go wrong there!

Got mine last week. Awesome. Very happy with it. Even got the Illy pods for easy decaf evening shots. Very nice.

My wife sprinkles a little cocoa powder and cinnamon into her half & half, then froths it with the wand. Pour in her espresso shot, then a couple more shakes of cinnamon and cocoa powder to finish it off. I've trained her well!

We use Valhrona 100% cocoa powder. If you like cinnamon, get Frontier Korintje cinnamon, 3% oil. You will NEVER go back to the regular stuff!

Well try it this morning. Standing at the cocoa powders we decided on Ghirardelli as a good choice. We’ll look for that cinnamon.

Then it's Abuelita Mexican Hot Chocolate you want. Doesn't take much at all to enhance, make their Mexican Coffee, or enjoy as-is.

Amazon has the cinnamon. Don't do like me and order the 2 1 lb bags. Doh!

There's an idea! Does Abuelita come in powdered form? Dissolving those little wedges is a PITA. Hmm. Web says yes, plus a syrup!

We've made the hot chocolate with Abuelita. But I don't like sugar in my coffee, so I stick with 100% cocoa powder and straight, high quality cinnamon.

It was a hit this morning. Just cocoa.

I added a set of these. Nice and easy to hold. Good feel to them. Just need a car to go with them.

Indeed. We use only filtered water. I think it also helps reduce scale buildup, although I have no proof.

    Why alkaline water?
