I saw it on two or three different forums in recent years but can't remember where. Too many links, too many pages. If you post a picture, it's out of your control. That's the Internet.

If it was for sale on line then presumably you attached a picture to the advert. Copyright gone. There are simple ways to copy pictures from the internet, so as Giotto said - once it's out there it has gone. Only way I have seen that will - sort of - protect your rights is to plaster your name across the picture. Good luck.

    Hi,
    I didn't sell it, I bought it.

    Kind regards

Even a slide can be duplicated. Many sellers on Ebay or elsewhere sell "original" pictures. But how do you know it's the only original?

    Very true.
Checkout your seller, that is probably 90 % of your guarantee.
When you have a slide in your hand there can be a lot of signs if it's old or new or a duplicate.

Like the fake 250GT SWB and Cal spyder brochures etc etc that started appearing in the 1980's:-( I got some as a present for Xmas one year and looking closely you could see wear and folds at the edges and corners that you could not feel on clearly new sharp glossy paper, dead giveaway.

If we are talking about newly printed or non period prints, then there are ways to tell, though not 100% perfect, but if you know what you are looking at in terms of materials etc, then you can pretty much eliminate 99% of the new fakes.

Only way I've found to protect tens of thousands of photos I've taken over the years and decades is to not share them publicly and the few I do, I'm very selective and conscious of loosing a hold of them, even with copyright acknowledgement/reference, since most who repost images they find on the internet are essentially just perpetuating the lack of respect of those rights.

Modena registration on the flatbed. Was the car transported from Modena to Sicily on that?
