    Hi All,

I need to source the rubber seal for around the trunk lid. Any thoughts? It looks like I should be able to find something domestic that is close. Thanks for any help!

I looked into this a few years ago and found something similar at Steel Rubber Products. Cut off a small piece and send it to them to match up. It is not a perfect match but ought to work. I never installed it and have sold the car, sample and all.

    Good day Rick,

I have to check my notes, but I recall the truck seal was difficult to find a perfect match. That being said, check out Seals Direct in the UK (https://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/) and also Cicoganani (http://www.cicognaniguarnizioni.it/index.php?route=common/home). I have ordered from both and found them to be excellent with great and fast service. In the meantime I will see which trunk seal I ended up using and will post back when I have this info.

    Cheers,

    Sam

<edit> This is what I found on Ebay/Mr. Fiat which looked pretty close to my original.

The buck stops with these people - reasonable prices and more variety than you can ever imagine... Most of the seals in my car came from here and I highly recommend based on the quality. I used them on my QP III as well. Check out their main website if you have a chance as the selection they have on other things you did not know you needed is impressive.

I have been using Mr. Fiat for years. He buys bulk lengths from Italy for the 'continuous' pieces and cuts you a generous portion to match the application. He has always got it right for me. He supplied the special door seals as well and they fit very well.

I am a big fan of McMaster-Carr; I buy lots of other parts and supplies from them. If you can find right piece go for it. They ship same day as order up to about 6PM or later. Since I am UPS Region 1 I often have parts on my door step the next day.....they are quicker than Amazon!

While I am at it, here is another supplier I use a lot for metric hardware: https://www.belmetric.com/

    Hi Ken/Otto,
I agree that McMaster-Carr is a wonder. They don't have the seals I'm looking for but they probably have the best e commerce site of all. Belmetric is also very good. It looks like Mr.Fiat has what I'm seeking so I'll post the result if the gasket is correct. Thank you Ken for the referral. Rick
