Ok, I will start with the storylines for the 2020 season, most of them we will
be totally sick of hearing about within 30 days (or so).
    1) Is the Patriot Dynasty over? Most will say yes.
    *** a large gap to 2:
    2) What will Brady do? Who really cares...
*** a large gap between here and 3:
    3) If SF, Balt, KC win the Super Bowl, now we have a new 'dynasty'???
*** another large gap to 4:
    4) If NO wins it, when will Brees retire?
    5) Who is Dallas' new HC? (McCarthy)
    6) Where will Joe Burrow end up, and will he improve that team?

Have I left any big ones out?
I don't think we care who CLV or the NYG hire as head coach.

    1) Not even close unless Belichick elects to retire.

    2) I think he will return to the Pats and I really care.

    3) None of those teams can sustain a dynasty, to wit, one-and-done in the last decade - Philadelphia, Denver, Seattle, Baltimore, NY Giants, Green Bay, and New Orleans. Except for Seattle, none of those teams even made it back to the big dance let alone win it. Dynasty? Don’t make me laugh. :D

    4) Well I guess that question is moot.

    5) If JJ was lucky it would be Josh McDaniels but I don’t think he’d even interview for it. He wouldn’t work for that f’ed up organization. (Yea, I know, he walked out on Indy, got it. No disputing he’s the best OC in the NFL.)

    6) Who really cares.

Edit - Burrow is going to Cincinnati in the absence of a major injury in the championship game.

    3) None of those teams have won a single SB of late, hence no dynasty.

I'm sick of hearing about the first one. Finish 0.500, then do some talking.

Minshew is still on his rookie deal. He's a bargain. Can the Jags dump Foles? Why didn't they fire Marrone? Will Jags move to London? Would anyone care?

Two huge stories not yet mentioned are (a) opening of new stadium in LA, and (b) Raiders in Vegas. The Rams and Chargers better get their act together, or the latter will blow away any buzz the former generates. Heck, even if the LA teams do well, a stadium on The Strip is gonna be huge!!

But there is no controversy, nothing to talk about with the
two new stadiums, unless they don't sell any season tickets,
then the media MIGHT talk about it for a couple of weeks,
but that's not a 'juicy' story...

It'll be juicy IMO once the Rams and Bolts stumble out of the gate, and don't sell out a new stadium in year 1. Of course, given the prestige and $$$ the NFL has invested in the new stadium and bringing football back to LA, it'll probably be a non-story unless it's an unqualified success. All IMO...T

I agree. The talk is the Chargers will spend whatever to get Brady in hopes of selling PSLs.

They can pay TB12 a fortune with all the money the Bolts will save by not having to ship Phil Rivers and his 400 children from SD up to Carson every other weekend!

Don't forget they are also building a big-ass NFL HOF there as well, that will draw some folks in, once.

YES! But they will do it VERY well!!

    1) Finger crossed

    2) Who cares? Most likely rejoins Pats. OTW Chargers, Colts, Raiders, Bucs, Steelers if Big Ben can't get healthy.

Wildcard Panthers if McDaniels becomes their HC.

    3)F-ck no.

    4) "You like that!":D 3 years in a row NO lost on walk-offs in the playoffs. Stellar during regular season, luck runs out in playoffs. Brees looked like a beaten old man at the end of OT yesterday.

    5) McCarthy. Sigh. Was hoping for a younger, promising coach. Riley, Rhule and Mullen seem like exciting hires with lots of upside but look at Saban, Chip Kelly, Petrino. No guarantees hiring college coaches or young coordinators.

Glad it's McCarthy instead of Lewis. Hopefully he can develop Dak. I like Nolan as DC

    6) Bengals. You think he's going to be a bust, I beg to differ. Zac Taylor's offensive mind needs a franchise QB, Dalton and Finley not cutting it. However, he's going to a terrible franchise and won't turn them around overnight.

I think the QB with a better chance for success is Tua or Herbert going to Miami at #5. Fins can draft an edge rusher/OT with their 2 remaining 1st round picks. Or take Jonathan Taylor and add a WR2 to Parker with their remaining 1st round picks.

In the playoff semifinal game, Burrow had all day to throw most of the time, so he was naturally on target. How will he do when he is running for his life as he is likely to be doing in Cincinnati?

Well Tua did declare for the draft today officially. I did not see that until now. He does not seem like an NFL qb to me. I don't think he'll last regardless of his health. When was the last time a college championship winning QB did anything in the NFL? They all seem to fail the last few decades.

On point 6, Dalton has one more year on his current contract, giving the Bengals a bridge so they wouldn't have to throw Burrows into the fire immediately.

That I know... but lots of teams bring in rookies to play when they have very highly paid QB's on the roster already.
Eli for one, and Buffalo was paying Fitzpatrick a boatload when they benched him 8-9-10 years ago...
KC had Alex Smith 2 years ago, let Mahommes start a game... it's not unheard of.
Heck, the biggest one of them all, the QB Houston got from Denver for like 65 million, he's not even in the league anymore...
he didn't even last a season in Houston... I don't even remember his name....

    I don't disagree about Tua...

And Cam: funny how his injuries parallel Bill Walton (NBA), Walton turned
into a vegetarian, and had nothing but foot problems after year two in the NBA.
