PPI near Lake Forest, IL (North Chicago)

Hi team,

Reviewing some older threads here about recommended indie Ferrari mechanics near Lake Forest Ferrari. I’m looking at a car sold by them and want an outside opinion. It’s a 1995 348 spider.

I’ve heard, but can’t so much verify recent experience from Fchat members with:

- autosprint, chicago
- personalized auto, Kenosha wi
- continental ferrari

Especially interested in anyone’s experience with the thoroughness of PPI conducted by any of these places. Too many times I’ve called shops for PPI and they go yeah yeah we know what we’re doing, and the results are just like a phone call saying it mostly looks OK, which doesn’t meet my standards of rigor especially with an expensive 30 year old Italian car. I really prefer someone with a solid
Checklist and extensive experience with late model Ferrari’s.

If I do buy it I might have the shop complete catch up work I find, before I ship it out to California, especially if their rates are more affordable.
