    Slightly off topic, but can someone please explain to me why AP puts slotted screws inside of hexagonal holes? This has always bugged me.

    Thanks, but that still doesn’t explain why you need a slotted head on a nut that is securely nestled in a hexagonal hole...it can’t possibly spin, so why the slot?

    Cause of the looks. It was like that since the early 1970 s designed by Gerald Genta and they keep it that way cause it just looks great.
