F8 Spider

The S-duct is bigger I guess to accommodate the strip on the Pista. But the biggest difference for me would be that the F8 the bonnet is aluminium. The shear weight difference between both bonnets would be gms. Why do it in the first place. ONE thing guaranteed ild rather have it aluminium from a paint point of view. Being all aluminium the paint will be the same. Not so on the Pista .On the Pista there have been several paint issues and actually I have seen several on the Pista.

 

I'm being told 2021 but no month or quarter at this stage, they say they don't even have allocation yet

Yeah... the 488 in any variety has never really done it for me... that's why I stopped at the 458 spider and am skipping to the F8 before the ole SF90 with it's hybrid crap...

 

It's worth the wait... may be the very last all gas model if things go the SF90 Stradale route. I personally don't need 1k HP.... I mean, 710 is way enough.

 

Have the alcantara inner and it’s much more beautiful and functional, let her gets sticky in summer, alcantara is much more pleasant.

Same, I sold my old one and bought a newer lower milage one in just, found a 2015 1 owner 3,600.mile example which I had full ppf coverage and plan to keep forever

Cool, nothing wrong with that! What year was your old one and how many miles did you have on it when you sold it?

 

Both are very beautiful but the Pista is more unique, though I can only offer the F8 or even a used 488, but still, the Pista is a beauty at its maximum ! If you have the chance to choose, go with the Pista, it's a win win .

Haven’t seen any more recent posts on timing of allocations and delivery of F8 spiders. I ordered one in October. My dealer thinks I might get the car in summer 2020.

 

Didn’t know the spider books were open to place an order? You sure you don’t just have a deposit?

I placed a deposit on the 16 th to hold a spot. No orders are being accepted yet only a deposit t get in line. I was told by my dealer that they had only had 10 spots at the moment so I jumped in. Best ,Kirk.

My order shows up in MyFerrari as wait listed with my color spec in the photo. Maybe that’s not an official order.

No I did not. Also, top is black.

 

Wow never seen that restriction that you must sell back to dealer in the first year. What is another dealer were to offer more money ?
