Not all, but a whole bunch of Ferrari coachwork arrives in 'craptastic' condition. Unless you have a fiberglass piece that is literally pulverized, it often makes sense to have it repaired (by a place like @BRADAN ) instead of buying new and then going through the same song & dance of prep + paint.
Yes, a bodyshop I know near Boston had to 458’s in for minor repairs which included bumpers. The condition in which the replacements (new) were supplied by the dealer was appalling. Meanwhile, everyone else (OEMs) either wrap the bejeesus out of them in padded foam sheets or send them in rigid cardboard boxes. John
