Never! I'm a keyboard warrior with a passive aggressive bias.

I get what you're to say about value. But the implied bias is less towards use and more about collection. Many who drive their cars place higher value on function (re:3-pedal experience) over originality and collector value. The large number of 430 owners that are converting their cars, and that includes one locally here using a CNC'd clutch pedal, tells me concerns of originality are far overblown. The F1 is simply a crappy transmission. Even Chris Harris states it.. :)

Very true but there are many alternatives to a dealer.

That’s fine. But if you go back and read the thread from the start you’ll see all the posts regarding originality and value which is where my comments stemmed from.

Like I’ve also said 20 times it’s your car. Mod it how you like. I think it’s awesome some guys know how to do this work themselves.

Firstly, the F430 never was and never will be a valuable car. Simply too many of them, manual or not.
Secondly, the F430 was optimised for the F1 transmission. Schumacher and the Scuderia are proof of that.
Thirdly, Chris Harris is wrong and distracted by his recent success, the F1 gearbox is a great implementation of a manual box made available without removing your hands from the wheel. Hang on to them, in terms of rarity they will top them all.

Since I started the thread I guess I'll wade back into the debate. I'm not an expert on Ferrari's or future potential value but I'm moving forward with the conversion because that's what I want...it has nothing to do with rarity or any possible/potential/maybe future profit. I've had 5 Vipers, 2 earlier 308's, and several Corvettes, all of which have been manual and none of which have really added to my financial portfolio on sale or trade. I've had the Gallardo with eGear and now the F430 with the F1 and I've enjoyed both. I don't say either of those non-manuals are not fun but I personally just enjoy the feel and experience of shifting gears in a great sounding and performing automobile and I like how it looks in the F430. Is it worth it or the "right thing" to do...maybe not for everyone but if I personally enjoy the experience of driving it, then, for me, it will be. I look forward to the experience.

On their website, the billet full conversion kit is 13,000 dollars. Probably going to sell a lot of them.

If you already own, know, and love your 360... I really don’t see this as a bad option. Life is short, try to have some fun.

Ok Mr. Art...if you or someone can show me how they made this i may be convinced. And if you or someone can tell how and whats inside of it will convince me even more. Its circled in red. This part is not available. Its been backordered for 2 months. This part on the spare that i have is bad. I found one in puerto rico. Once i got it i took the bad one a part.

I'll be sending my F430 over in March and should get it back end of April/early May. I'll make sure to take plenty of pics and provide my non-expert opinions on the drive and experience compared to others I've owned. From the videos and reviews I've seen, I think I'll enjoy. I appreciate everyone's thoughts.

That is unusual. He replies to me VERY quickly each time.

Maybe try writing again, or perhaps calling.

They probably can’t comment here if not a paying sponsor. Better off reaching them direct.

say hello to art and the gents on your visit. They always have some cool builds going on in the shop!
