I've heard anecdotal comments over the years that the 360 series used titanium connecting rods.

If so, was this the case for -all- 360 model years? And was the 360 the first model to use them (the 355 and earlier models using conventional materials)?

    Thanks - DM

The 355 and 360 both had Ti connecting rods. Some of the 12 cylinder engines did too, IIRC the 550 and 575 did. The later V8s went back steel(430 458 488). Ferrari is using them again in the F8 turbo engine

    Correction on the V12:
The F512m and 550 used them, the 575m did not.
