The other day I made tacos/burritos. Ground beef with seasoning and veggies. Quinoa as you all know I made. It was great with the spicy quinoa instead of rice for the burrito. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Just tonight I was doing some shopping saw ribery on sale. Figured why not make some of the best steak sandwiches yet. Cut it thin, spice, marinade, and a bunch of diced up veggies. Veggies first, meat next, combine, cheese on top and melty steak sandwich! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It took me about 15 min of prep, albeit split into two parts, since I was winded after dicing the carrots. Stupid cold. Hope you feel better soon...T
Dinner at a nearby Lebanese place. Pretty good (not as good as the place we went last week that is another 4 minutes walk). We had: - very fresh tabbouleh - puffy thin bread - flat bread with minced beef on top - lamb meatballs with potato and tomato on top - beef with okra in a paprika/cinnamon gravy Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
whew...finally...finally starting to enjoy life again. We are pretty much settled in and celebrated with some champagne and french cheese to start, while I got to listen to Ania play the piano (its perhaps the main reason we waited this long for this particular flat, along with the chef's kitchen that is rare as hen's teeth in London). Then, while she played, I made a very quick and very, very tasty (shockingly good actually) Pumpkin Gnocchi in sage-brown-butter sauce (picked up pre-made gnocchi at the local market, whipped up the sauce in about 2 minutes). Feels better than I can convey in words to finally have a life back similar to what we left in the USA (at least in some ways). Got another Papa John's last night. The leftovers saves me from going out for breakfast. There is a sports bar up the street that has Buffalo wings. Going to try that tonight...…………….

Shepherd's pie! The 2nd greatest day in the high school lunch calendar, after Taco Tuesday, was the one day in a blue moon they made shepherd's pie. Musubi deconstructed. Seared redneck foie gras AKA Spam. White rice. Mango peach salsa. I like to doctor mine up with sriracha and soy sauce.
