Are there any other toys that I could put in all of your sand boxes?
28 posts on this forum and we are treated to this? Quit insulting people. A compliment for BOKE on his patience and measured responses here. A lesser man would have done more. Much more.
Those of us that own and work on our 348s like to learn from each other and share our experiences so that we can make owning a 348 an enjoyable experience. We do this to: 1) Keep the cost of ownership down 2) To improve the reliably of the car 3) To educate other owners and potential owners 4) Improve the performance of the 348 5) Improve the reputation of the 348 6) Remove the fear of owning a Ferrari The videos produced by "NSG" do not do any of that in my opinion. To the contrary, in my opinion, they only create negative sentiment towards owning a 348/Ferrari. Hence the back lash by many in this thread.
I've enjoyed all of NGS's DIY videos. He has made a joke out of the clickbaity titles and it was clear to me that they went above and beyond on the 348 service.
Ok 348/355 community. Check out this hilarious follow up video you can't help but laugh at all the nonsense folks have posted regarding the original 348 DIY Major series of videos NormalGuySupercar posted. I can't help but agree many 348 outspoken owners were a little "butthurt" over the DIY Major 348 series when actually, you knew what you were going to undertake when you bought your 348. Anyway, Daniel has trumped the sniffling 348 owner snowflakes who have cried foul over all of this, heh.
1. he spelled whining wrong. 2. @F1Spider, why are you calling names? (no, i didn't click to see what it's all about) sjd
First he has a video about all the people that don't like him and reads their negative comments out loud. Now he has a girl fighting his fights? Hahahaha. Beta male in action.....
If you ant to learn something about 348's....STFU and look up Ernie's posts over the last decade. If you want to come on here and embarrass yourself, carry on. BTW, I do not, nor never have, owned a 348. I have a 355. If I did I would be Ernie's best friend and run away from people like you and this Dan girl. What a hoot this guy is....someone going to steal his lunch money tomorrow?
1. He offered you a discount code from Ricambi America. 2.. The 348 is not going to really get anymore reliable than it is. 3. I think he did a pretty good job of that. 4. If you watched the whole video, you would notice the part where they split the overlap on the valves to pick up some extra ponies. 5. I don't really think that the 348 is going to get any better than what it is unless you use forced induction. 6. Boo! Are you scared now? Why would anyone be scared of owning a Ferrari?
Maybe all of them... right? You and Dan having a pajama party tomorrow? hahahahahahaha. OMFG I am dying here. Carry on if you like. If nothing else this is pretty ****ing funny. You have to hold a new FChat record for post count vs. stupid content. Another troll has arrived here on FChat! Color me shocked.....
I can see the glass of wine...wining...yes... (originally I thought he spelled winning wrong...and lol'd at that) sjd
He's clearly not a technical person who wants to shine his 458, and troll some enthusiasts who get their hands dirty and work hard for what they want. I need to give @ernie a call and pick his brain about transmissions. He and I should make a video. sjd
Yes, although my name calling is somewhat childish, the irony is, there will always be forum trolls who will ***** about something whether it is positive or negative. I believe trolls are in it to win it by complaining about posts with the intention of achieving complete conscious trolldom. IMHO, NormalGuySupercar's series on the DIY 348 major brings to light things that should be changed when taking advantage of the engine being out i.e. waterpump Everyone has heard the old adage, "an ounce of prevention..." I also agree if repair shops just performs a minimal major, yes, the cost will be significantly lower. Whereas, if you want the confidence knowing after the major you can drive your vehicle cross country and back, do the preventative maintenance repairs at the same time. You will see this in the 348 DIY major series on NormalGuySupercar channel on YouTube. The basic intent of the video shows with proper tools, you can perform the major yourself without having to pay a shop or Indy mechanic. The channel is real and also shows mistakes made along the way and shows how they learned from their mistakes. For all trolls, I ask, what positive posts have you made for the greater Ferrari community in which knowledge has been shared for the greater good? That's my .02 cents worth.
I did perform my own major. I also spent a day not getting the timing dialed in correctly, and being incredibly frustrated. I'm not complaining about the content, I'm complaining about the delivery. "had to beat it with a hammer" "pile of **** car" (which strangely, is a common theme in his titles...maybe he's in the wrong business) Sensationalism drives me away. I'll go watch scott find his kinked hose again rather than watch any of the whining...ummm...winning...oh. wining... sjd
Be original, don't follow the the beat of someone else's drum like a lemming or meme in this instance. I stand by my original comment. Prove me wrong not change my mind.
That you'd make such a post in a thread that @ernie previously commented upon is rather telling. You should keep your $0.02 for the moment and peruse his post history. As to the childish name-calling, I'm afraid I must ask you to desist or I will be forced to apply a temporary loss of access upon your account. All the best, Andrew.
Could say the same for anyone who owns a newer ferrari. I'd like to crystal ball forward 25 years to see who's still got their cars, or who's bought one 25+ years old. I did something very original. I bought my 348 off CRAIGSLIST. I do all my own work with the help of the other true enthusiasts around here (not someone doing it for clicks) NGSF has no true interest in the car he slandered...and perhaps, after all these pages of **** talking, that's the real answer that has got people all twisted up. He doesn't truly care about his cars. My interests lie in maintaining a "new-vintage" ferrari, not watching someone who makes a video about losing his job and buying another supercar. sjd
