I do use a knife and fork, but only when I reheat the pizza for some reason.

Got more chicken to consume. Got some mixed veggies. Think I'll make a casserole.

Change of plans...……. I was hungry and stopped at Popeyes. Got a 10piece meal deal, two sides, onion rings and French fries. My brother is helping me pack, so I got the meal for us.

The Popeyes didn't satisfy me long term. Ended up making a peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwich. I haven't had that for a long time. The jam is for breakfast toast. The peanut butter is for the dogs kong toy...……………

Found a place. Looked at it with six other prospective tenants. I talked with the real estate agent. Just finished the app. Hope I get it. If it wasn't for the dog, he's too big and doesn't like people. Id live in hotels until spring, somewhere warm. Like Southern California or Arizona.

    Arizona is full.

We have enough snowbirds that like to go to Bingo at 8AM that go 45mph on the highway. Ask me how many cars with Canadian plates cut me off on my way to work today. o_O

For dinner, I had a grilled chicken sandwich and some coconut chips that our work canteen gave out.

Had a function at my brokers office where clients came to mingle and drink and pick up whatever pie they chose. I have several to deliver tomorrow. I only snacked at the party, so I had a last second detour to good old ****ty service Jack. I got taco's of course.

My parents had a house in Paradise Valley. I lived there for awhile. The snowbird drivers are the worse. I've semi seriously considered getting a condo or townhouse in Scottsdale.

I’m in Japan, staying at a traditional hot springs inn.
Dinner and breakfast is included, so-called Kaiseki style.
if the idea of refined sloth and gluttony appeal to you, including soaking in super-hot baths from natural hot springs, I highly recommend the experience.
Apologies for all the images; I tried to make them small so it wouldn’t slow down the page load speed.
It’s a not small meal. Over 20 different dishes, some just a couple bites.
Not pictured: a few more dishes, rice, miso soup, dessert, mango and strawberry, and tea.
First pic is the menu. Google translate told me to not worry about it and just put it in my pie hole.
    I did. Happily.

That looks awesome. Id love to go to Japan. My cousin, my Dads first cousin is a film equipment distributor. He goes to Japan often.

Well, not having a good day. Still waiting for a real estate agent to get back to me. My second pick has been rented. Looks like I'll be in hotels, until something good comes along.

    22 pounders - brines for 3 days, smoked at 275 for 9 hours ..

Smoker does 15 turkeys easy this jumbo size - could do 30 but it’s a pain to rack them ..take out the middle rack and have a double deck on each of the 5 carousel sides..

I can highly recommend making a visit.
Hope you find a place you like.

I’m staying in a mountain town called Kusatsu, a 4h drive from Tokyo.
Breakfast is soon. It’s similarly ridiculous, but a more manageable ~15 dishes.

I'd love to visit Japan. Too bad nothing to hunt there. I may have to do a round the world trip- stop in Moscow for a day or two on my way to hunt sheep and bear in Kamchatka and make a stop in Japan on my way home!

^Japan was fascinating. We checked it off the the bucket list about 8 or so years ago.
It is a fascinating place. The culture is so different from anything I've experience in
North America and Europe. So modern on one hand, so steeped in tradition on the other.

I found two old food pics from our visit.
