"SVCalifornia, post: 146913791, member: 102566"]Unlikely to be an Alfa If it leaving a Maserati facility, no?? SV "Maserati will end production of the GranTurismo and the GranCabrio in November 2019, and it will retool the historic Modena, Italy, factory that makes both models in preparation for a new sports car due out in 2020. "Production of the 4C will continue in the same production plant/line until late 2020 for the NAFTA and APAC regions," an Alfa Romeo spokesperson told us via email." Quote Autoblog. This although looks like the Maserati mule.
The 4C was produced at the Maserati plant so it could have been but this car is definitely a Maserati version of the 4C.
Yes. At least for the time being, and barring any changes in plans if and when the proposed PSA merger is completed and Carlos Tavares takes the helm.
Had two Alfa Giulietta's up at the TCR IMSA race at Road America this year. Now a Giulia ETCR but electric?? Really.... "Romeo Ferraris seems to have two missions; success in racing touring cars and racing with Alfa Romeo. That dedication of the Milanese tuning firm now seems to be taking boundless forms. After years of working on the Giulietta in the TCR (even with a return of Fabrizio Giovanardi) one now also wants to work with the Giulia. The choice for the Alfa Romeo Giulia will immediately have an innovative character, as one will race with it in the ETCR competition, or the wsc championship for electric touring cars." https://www.autoedizione.nl/romeo-ferrari-maakt-giulia-alvast-elektrisch-voor-tcr/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think this TCR all electric race car might be detrimental to Alfa as most people want an Alfa for the noise it makes. Smart marketing people Maybe they can put speakers on the back and pipe in an F1 Alfa boxer 12 engines noise >
"According to a rumor this morning, Carlos Tavares would be in favour of a new Alfa Romeo Giulietta in the Italian media. In addition to the C- (Tonale) and B-UV, the CEO of the new combination FCA-PSA wants to give the green light for a new five-door Alfa. In our opinion, a strategically sensible move, as such a model can mean a lot in terms of customer loyalty. Alpha's primary audience is sensitive to this type of model. Yesterday there was a summit meeting between the management of FCA and the Italian federations at the end of the afternoon. This is therefore a very serious take. A new Giulietta can share the same platform as the Tonale. The base is psa's multifunctional CMP platform, which can also be used for electrification (hybrid and complete). The current Alfa Romeo Giulietta will be said to be out of production in mid-next year after 10 years. A debut of the successor will be expected at the earliest at the end of 2022, early 2023." https://www.autoedizione.nl/tavares-mogelijk-voorstander-opvolger-alfa-romeo-giulietta/
In my opinion any Alfa underpinned by Peugeot will be a disaster. One company makes sporty cars the other makes cars so un-remarkable they don't even figure on any car enthusiasts radar.

More info, some of wich might be wrong. I heard from reliable sources that the GTA will be at Geneva, we will have to wait and see. The picture is of the special edition Quad from Europe and not the GTA. Maybe Macgeek knows?? https://www.motor1.com/news/394378/alfa-romeo-giulia-gta-rumor/?fbclid=IwAR2eMiDTBr2mC7plhM8IpLI2NVous2e8XIxwfLCCPG2BjOmxD7dJFFuYcps Image Unavailable, Please Login

GTA and GTAm - limited to 500 units Customised customer experience 540hp -100kg than QV Insane. Love Alfa Romeo.
Yes its cool like jag project8 but what is really the purpose? Way too heavy to be serious track car. Cayman or vette way better for that. and then too uncomfortable and expensive for people to buy as dd. So 500 halo cars that get press pr but that's it. For cost of developing this could just as easily made awd guilia qf that allows tc be shut off. That might sold 10 x GTA sales to people living cold climate. Oh well I guess that's why they're alfa and not audi
