Looks fantastic. If you don't mind my asking what did this cost? Private message if you will. My interior is Blu Scuro with Black two tone. I've always wanted a darker beige with black two tone interior...on the fence about retrimming it.
No problem. I think it was about £5,000. I'll have to check the invoice when I get home. Bear in mind it was only a partial re-trim. I kept all the black bits (except the dash which needed doing anyway), just did the beige bits and the dash.
I envy you owners in the UK where there are all these great craftsmen never more than a couple of hours away, many times only minutes away. Here in the high desert hinterlands, there is nobody anywhere near doing leatherwork my techs would trust with the 575.
John, do not recall ever seeing your 550's interior; striking and very lovely. While I'm on to you, John, Judith and I plan to attend her high school reunion in Prague next summer. Will wind up spending some time in England as we've booked to return to New York in Queen Mary 2 embarking Southampton 21 June. It would be wonderful to meet up with you and similarly-minded tifosi. I joined the FOC in 1985 prior to a visit to England, attended the Club hill-climb and then the British G.P. at Silverstone. Became somewhat friendly with the former Club Secretary Peter Everingham and we sat with him at the Club summer do three or four years ago.
Re the Bonhams/Kaaiman burgundy 550, looks like no-one wanted to pay £80k plus 15+% for a car they could have had for £85k from a dealer and is probably worth nearer £70k in any event. I don’t know what it was bid to. Seems rather like a waste of everyone’s time.....
I came across this one. Presumably lhd as its quoting kms, https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2360523387570422/ Can't comment on car, condition, etc as just found it while searching for Ferrari stuff.
Anyone know if it got sold in the end? Kaaimans had it “under offer” for a while on their site and then it disappeared.
