Noooooo. That will ruin it for me. Last night’s episode was boarder line with Magnum and Higgins. I can’t get the original characters out of my mind...John Hillerman and Tom Selleck. So if Higgie-Baby and TM get together and they have a spat who gets to sleep in the guest!!! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Papaya, If not TM I will be the first to volunteer for that part. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
The only thing the original higgins and the new higgens have in common is tiny tits with a British accent.
Here in Italy new Magnum P.I. just started this week: I saw episode 1, not bad at all even if two Ferrari were destroyed, including the old 308 GTS QV. Ciao
saw the first four episodes: the more I see them, the more I like them. The telefilm series is exactly like the old one, with better video quality and the new Higgins is much more better looking (an likable) than the old one… ciao
They had a full size Jimmy in the earlier episodes then they got the smaller S-15 Jimmy then in the later episodes they had a jeep cherokee with wood paneling.
I dont recall the Cherokee. I do remember them not being consistent on the Jimmy. Seemed like the colors changed or something.
I didn't care for it either because there was clearly a political statement embedded in the story directed to the current administration. The writers need to keep their political opinions to themselves or they just lost another viewer and that is saying something coming from me and that show.
Worst episode of the season. Didn't care for the immigration politics and the annoying short-tempered pudgy brother with the Brooklyn accent. The prior week's episode much better.
Agreed - the last episode was not very good at all. However, I feel like the show is starting to come into it's own in season 2.
A couple episodes ago when Magnum was working at the hotel for Colonel Steve Austin - the aerial shot of the hotel showed it to be the same hotel used in one of my favorite original episodes first aired back in 82 (I have no idea if the scenes from the new series were shot in the same hotel or if a different one was used to film in and they just used the other in the fly over shot) If someone can figure out which hotel and which episode I am referring to from season 3 1982/1983 I will be forever impressed.
That was a replica/fake 308 that was destroyed, thankfully. I wish they had managed to keep the real 308 QV around, even if just in the background at the estate now and then. THE Colonel Steve Austin, the 6 million dollar man??!! (In a reboot, he'd probably be a 6 billion dollar man) Sorry, I haven't started on Season 2 yet.
