The shop that did the last major on my TR used 75w140 in the gearbox.
Shifts were fine both cold and warm, but I'm wondering about the long term.

Anyone have experience with this weight oil in their TR?

in my competiton I only use 75W140 LSD castrol, in my BB only 75W90 LSD
the oil in my competiton is getting much warmer than in the BB when I go curvy roads because the diff has to work more with so much power. but for "normal power and driving" I would use this 75W90 also in a TR

Alright, I was wondering how the thicker spec when warm would work vis a vis the TR's known issue with the diff.

The oil viscosity should contribute to the suspect welds on the diff.

This is a case where you use what the factory says for sure. Redline 75-90ns is the bomb.

Seriously the Redline NS is the one to put in.

I've used the 75w140 in the gearbox without any problems.
