I’m looking to install Kline headers on my ‘07 599, and I’m looking for anyone who has done it, or had it done. I’ll be doing it myself in my garage, so I’m just looking for pointers. Not a step by step, but just advice on trouble areas, or anything that can help make the job easier.

I believe the O2 sensor is after the cat at the header. That means removing it will throw a CEL. Have you looked into this?

Why Kline? Why not use Fabio's?

A few reasons really. Primarily cost. I got a smoking deal on these Kline Inconel headers. Next, ease of install. These 3-into-1’s are much easier to install in sections. And finally, I wanted to do a complete cat delete. Fabio’s system uses high flow cats still. As for the sound, we’ll see once it’s done how the sound compares.

Stock parts on both sides removed. Install should go pretty smooth. There’s a LOT more room to work around the new headers.

All the factory parts you see here weigh 86 lbs total. All the new Inconel parts weigh 21 lbs total.

Shown with the Kline system in my pics are the mid-pipes with high flow cats. I won’t be running those, as the catless pipes are already on the car. If it ends up being too loud, I may swap them on.

360 & 430 have heat issues with headers. Headed damages cables etc. I haven’t looked but have you given that any thought?

Yes, I’m not at all concerned about that, for a bunch of reasons; It’s not a rear engine car. Inconel is very good at managing heat. Eliminating all the cat converters will keep the system much cooler. I’m keeping the oem heat shields in place. And finally, I’ve done headers on a LOT of cars over the years, and have never had an issue with heat.

You MUST post a sound clip when everything is buttoned up. I cannot wait to hear this.

By all means post a sound byte. Even though you never get the full experience, you can tell the exhaust note.

I’m going to make a better video clip of how it sounds. This video doesn’t quite show it. It’s loud, and sounds great inside and out. It doesn’t have that F1 sound that the 6 into 1 headers would have, but I like it.

I like it, reminds me a little of the McLaren F1 that's also a little raspy like that. I guess it makes sense since the displacement is similar and both have 6-2-1headers

I’ve never made that connection before, but after watching several videos of them, they do sound very similar!

I recently added an X pipe. It didn’t change the tone that much, but it REALLY cleaned up the sound. Primarily in the low-midrange during every day driving. It’s much less raspy now. Hard to tell in the video, but it’s much better than before.

The install was pretty straightforward. No special tools needed, and really wasn’t difficult. Just very time consuming.
