Had lots of merit and was almost impossible to enforce without putting a moderator on full time classified patrol.

I liked the nice clean ads, but hey, no one really asked me.

I think we should post ads, have questions sent via PM, and the OP has the option to post additional info in his ads, and that's it. No comments, no, "Will you take my la-z-boy lounger in trade" nonsense, but, again, that doesn't appear to be an option.

We were supposed to get some kind of massive makeover/revision of the classified section, don't know what happened to that.

I disagree. I think the comments and debate are useful and actually help both the buyer and seller. I think BATs success is largely attributable to the ability to post, ask questions, etc in an open forum. Wrt to this particular car it has been scrutinized and analyzed by so many knowledgeable people here that the seller knows exactly what the car can bring in. Cld he list on autotrader and find someone who is willing to pay 210, sure it cld happen. But if the seller decides he wants the money today, both the new buyer and the seller will know the final price reached is a good deal.

A sub $200 asking price should cause a buyer to enter negotiations...if it doesn't...I'll say it again...take the stripe off and have it waxed...I'm presuming you think it doesn't matter, but that stripe is a "cross it off the list" for a bunch of buyers (rightly or wrongly - although its rightly imho because they don't want to buy and find out the paint is impacted below the stripe - they would rather know its clean when they pay the near $200k).

If your response is "hey, I like the stripe and its my car"...then, I say "that's great, because the stripe is indeed making it yours" :D

    Really good feedback
All my other Ferraris sold here had that stripe and has never been a problem. I do hear you in that some person may have a concern. I would not take off to prove it before there is an interested party. If someone is looking for a great deal this is it. all they have to do is say I want the car but I also want to know there is no residual impact of the stripe.

Car was just detailed 3 weeks ago and looks amazing!

    Great input!

    thx again

That is a bit untrue. I stated recently I had found a car and was also DROPPING the price which I have done. I am now at $197,500. I have seen 2 458's purchased and paid well above my price ($218,000). I think it is a fair validation I am not out of the park price-wise. thx

The only reason this car is not selling i think is the color...But in my eyes the TDF color is very good looking.
Chupee maybe you should do Bring a trailer.
    You will be surprised.

This car is fantastic, love the seats, they actually fit me better than the Daytonas in my California , If I can actually sell my California I would’ve already bought this but we all know where the pricing on those has gone

After just selling a Spider; Autotrader and Ferrari Market Letter provided me serious buyer and prospective call. I came very close to reconsigning mine to a Ferrari dealer. Too much time and hassle selling privately.

I would advertise with pro photos and the stripes can be removed b4 purchase, if requested. I had a 911with stripes, never sold, I removed the stripes and it sold in one week. You never know.

Don’t agree/understand with majority of thinking out there: buyers want scant (ridiculous) low mileage and many first time Ferrari buyers (even few seasoned ones) usually want Rosso Corsa. They think of exit strategy when ready to resell. To each their own. As colors and future resale is so subjective.

That all said, you just need one buyer. Beautiful spec and color. GLWS.

Damn that's pretty. TDF is just awesome (to some of our eyes). For others, for reasons that are a complete mystery to me, its a slow selling color. I will never get that. TDF with beige or tan or cuio is just beautiful. My last "sporty" car was a Maser GT Spider in a color similar to TDF with cuio (sold 6 months ago).
