2008 599 GTB - the leather on the binnacle over the instruments has started to pull away (shrink) from the dash and I am looking to have it repaired before it gets too much worse. The rest of the dash is OK. I'd appreciate your comments on repair shops in the area north of NYC in the Hudson Valley (south of Albany). Thank you.

The two that come to mind are
    1) Classic Coach Elizabeth NJ. They do very good work
    2) Bradan on LI. They did my 308 interior. I'm very pleased and its been 5+ years.

Do these shops offer pick-up and delivery service for such work?

I used Classic Coach years ago to re-do the headliner in my 360. It came out perfect, probably better than factory new.

    They do offer pickup/drop-off service.

Has anyone here used Hudson Valley Auto Interiors for interior work? If so, what has been your experience?

while no knock on any particular shop,I would stick with someone who has Ferrari experience.Lots of parts and stuff to take apart and put back . You want the car the same or better than when it went in.Mike

I believe that shop is owned by George or Georgi. He did my 308 cloth rear shelf interior as well as a custom vinyl piece for the spare tire well. He did very good work sourcing the original material.

+1 on Bradan. I had the same issue on a Maranello and Dan's team did an excellent job re-covering the dash (as well as the seats which had suffered significant bolster wear).

Make sure to do a search on F-chat to read about issues members have had with one of the shops being suggested.
Wish I had done it before running into some major problems.

Greg Georgi at Hudson Auto - did both my replacement top and re-upholstery of my front seats about 5 or 6 years ago and did great work, this was subcontracted by the repair shop that caused the damage that required it (different story) so I can't speak to the cost.

You may want to try to find a Fibrenew representative in your area first. They are absolutely amazing with leather repair and restoration, and it’s similar to a quality PDR repair. I use a Fibrenew specialist out of Delaware Water Gap but that’s likely too far from you. I’m sure there is a Fibrenew person closer to you. To give you an idea, here is a before and after shot of the side bolster of the seat on my otherwise mint Porsche 928S when I first got it. There was literally huge amounts of rash and a hole...all repaired and cannot every find the exact spot where it was fixed. Four hours. $300 or so.

Bradan did the job & it looks better than new. Great communication from Dan - he provided photos of the job from start to finish. The pick-up & return were much appreciated. Now all we need is better weather to get the car out & enjoy it.
