Not to ruffle feathers...... But this is a $60,000.00 at most; in its current condition.
I believe that they also lease their for sale cars. If so, they can generate income while they wait for the ideal buyer that will pay a nice margin. It seems like an intelligent strategy.
They don’t lease them: pfs or putnam lease them. It’s just a way everyone gets ppl on their stores these days. Once the car is leased it’s gone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don’t disagree at all. Thats why it could be for sale forever. He would need to come down 70k, haha Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Jay, in your opinion, what would a 90 model that is really nice with 13k miles and not needing tbe belt service for another 3 years worth in todays market? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
its possible the car is listed for sale just for show. having a dealer license in NY state requires you to advertise and sell a certain number of cars. maybe the owner of the car has a dealer license and has consigned it to aventura for ease. just saying not every car listed for sale is actually for sale.
Those cars at Merlin are consignment, Merlin has a lot of good cars and also has a lot of surprisingly highly priced one which don’t seem to be in tune with the market...turns out most of those, if not all, are consignment... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That’s funny because I spoke to a salesperson there earlier this year and was told the exact opposite. “We buy all of our cars” is what she said.
“Honey, I promise you I’ve been trying to sell that Ferrari for years, it’s just that nobody will buy it for some reason!”
That's what I would hope. I didn't know if they had taken a downward turn. Been off for a while. Has there been any noticeable changes in the past few months?
No not really Billy just more people becoming more in tune with the market. It’s been relatively stable.
Here it is at $115k.... https://www.jdpower.com/detail/1989/ferrari/testarossa/southampton-ny/zffsg17a5k0082952
Man, never seen a spread like that. The market will dictate I guess. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Market has been flat for over a year. Only mint examples with either low miles or desirable color combo get 115/120. The pack get 90-100k for a good one... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So it was really just a matter of time when they jumped to 150k many years ago from 70k for them to just creep back down to sub 100's or really 80ish, maybe less?
