After doing my motor out service I seem no longer have a working E brake cables were hooked back up and adjusted but full of slack! Any help ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's probably caused by the cable tightener (nr 14) that's on top of the lower chassis bar . Remove the LH rear wheel and the plastic gravel guard giving access to the engine bay. The front handbrake cable is connected (with its bolt) to the rear handbrake cable (that runs through the rear subframe from LH to RH wheels) by this half circular plate (nr 14 on the picture) and serves as handbrake adjustment. When doing an engine out service, these 2 cables are disconnected and have to be reconnected when refitting the engine with subframe. I assume the mechanics didn't reconnect the cables well enough, so you would need to screw the bolt of the front cable further into part nr 14. Image Unavailable, Please Login
