which is why we in europe put plenty of miles on them....
And I can guarantee a driven 550 well maintained is a better functioning car than a garage queen getting an oil change every 6 months and a timing belt every 5 years with the most running being around those services.
Problem is most people that buy these cars have multiple vehicles and have a hard time spreading the mileage out across them. I think the 550 has plenty of upside to go. It will age gracefully.
Thank you fat Billy Bob I will take that as a compliment.... With my 71,000 mile 550 Still enjoying every mile!!! Don't really care about anything else that happens in the future. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have nothing but respect for you! On your deathbed you will never say "I wish I worked more or drove my Ferrari less!"
Great looking car as well Bill! Despite the fact, that you are driving the car a lot, you're caring a lot about it. I think that was the secret als well that you have been able to drive one of the actually most expensive Ferraris for years as a daily driver..... Saluti, Jürgen
Hi Jürgen, I feel quite blessed to have owned my swb 250gt 3269! In those ten years and 100,000 miles put on as a daily driver she never let me down... I didn't own another car at that time, we just traveled around with my drums to every gig I played. It was quite sad for me to see her stuck away in this huge building in a corner before she was recently sold... She is now in England but at least there is this beautiful old dog looking after her Cheers, Bill Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Terry of course I agree .... Great thing was it ran every bit as good as it looked and all those years and miles it always got me to my destination. never a problem ! Just love that old dog
who did the body on that 250swb? was it a one off? I like it. see a red one around at the meets on occasion
Frankie- There was only one, so whatever you are seeing is the same car or something different. Zagato did the bodywork on this one and some earlier 250s that had different body styles.
I figured it was a one off. I meant I see a normal 250swb around on occasion not this Zagato body. Love them all
Bill, now is your 550 doing actually? Your never short of miles … Love your driving style and appreciation of the Maranello, well maintainted they seem‘s to last forever… Saluti, Jürgen
