I think this paves they way for Mercedes to bow out for 2021 if they wish to do so and just stay on as an engine supplier, much like they did before.
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh. I thought you meant they pulled out as a team but continued supplying engines before. 'Thought it was before my started following F1 seriously ('67). Really haven't a solid knowledge of the history before, like, '63. I know Merc was in as a team (W196) in early '50s. Edit: Got it. '54 &'55. Pulled out of racing period due to the Le Mans tragedy.
Like many, I wonder what the Mac would do with Mercedes power. They have good drivers and what appears to be a good chassis. Add a bit more ‘shove’ and it would be fun to watch

Hopefully the 2021 Regulations will have enough of an impact to stir things up without using contrived methods like reversed grids, etc. Wishing McLaren steps up and makes it four top teams running for the championship come 2021.
