Damn, I'll be in Tennessee that weekend. I cloud go for some pdr and a few other little things. Plus I was thinking about a few other little things. Anyone know a decent leather person? I think Mel mentioned there was a mobile lady that did good work at a reasonable price

Hi, Just join the forum and found this awesome post. I am good with wrenches. would there be enough time to work on inspecting the clutch? Noticed some oil on the pumpkin. possibly triple seals.
There should be enough time for inspection of the clutch and replacing the triple seals. But repacking the damper would take some special tools and would be an all day job if you start early.
I suppose we'd need the hill engineering alignment tool right? I dont see that on their site anymore. Is there another source available? Repacking the damper did you mean the flywheel? Let's drop the engine while at it JK JK
To do the flywheel and repack the Voigt damper, you need Notched ring socket Air impact wrench (and air) Blind hole bearing puller Ribe bit Snap ring pliers And some kind of clutch alignment tool If you have done this before once or twice, then you would have all those things in your garage. If not, you are not going to finish the job in one day.
my car has hill engineering release bearing. can it be rebuilt if the leak is from the slave. I never dealt with this type of non-traditional slave cyl before. The release bearing is quite pricey if it needs to be changed every time clutch is serviced. I saw a thread where the owner rebuilt the original release bearing. but not much info on the hill engineering piece. been gathering info. I'd like to keep the maintenance up to date. Luckily it's a really simple and robust car.
you would have to source the seals from Hill …. if those are available. Although, if they are recently done, they may not be leaking,

I got my hill engineering tool on the mail now. Hopefully, it will get here on time. Could I let you know next week? don't want to sign up and no show if I don't have the proper tools. I could buy an electric impact if that will help to remove the ring nut Also, I could also buy the ring nut socket. there are two alternatives that are much cheaper than hill engineering one.
I have an 1/2" impact wrench. 2 floor jacks and some jack stands. Also have a 24" floor lift. Not enough room to walk under but you can roll around on a creeper. Have that too.
Time to get serious abiut the list. I need to pkan the food. If you plan to go, please add your name. Address will be sent to those on the list only. 1. TrojanFan 2. RudyP 3. SoCal tim 4. FBB 6. It would be helpful if those attending could let me know if they plan to do any work. That what we can schedule it around the tools available. Also, if you plan to do any work, you should get your parts orders in quick. Daniel at Ricambi has been a Stooge supporter. If you have "in stock" parts ordered this week, you should have them before the 26th.
