This is one of those threads where "IF I had the money I would get my hands on it, drive it like the manufacturer intended, and turn it back in with bald tires and a gazillion miles" and toss the keys and say "send the Bill"...

GLW Lease Transfer, is all you have to say!
    :D :D :D

Now go hide in your bunker until the IRS knocks on your door, the rest of you!!
You like the color, or you don't....it's bad ass IMO.

I cover Texas for my job (or did) so the "daily driver, 27 miles" reminds me of a Ducati I once purchased with 72 miles, he drove two blocks from his beachfront home to a warehouse/office.

Ok. I’ve got a 720 already, but I’ll start the bidding and leave this at our vacation house. I’ll take over the lease and cover transfer cost. No additional cash. Seller can PM me if you want to take me up. :D

Kind of idea interesting idea. Take a fungible amount of money and direct it towards a vacation car. In some respects, you would simply be adding fungible money for the car on top of the fungible money already being devoted to the vacation house.

Throw in a week or two of vacation time and it just might convince the seller. :D

Sorry folks, I was away on a family emergency.

One correction, car has 870 miles (adding 15 miles a day going forward) and not 1200+ miles. Not that it makes a big diff, but wanted to clarify nonetheless.

I'm glad there are multiple forks with different topics.

For the IRS part: Dont have anything meaningful to contribute.

For the "is OP wondering why he started this thread / did OP ignore": No, I have no issues with threads having multiple forks with different topics. Happens all the time. No, I did not ignore this thread.

For the "offer is not good": At $0 down, my car is $2875 a month + taxes for 5K miles a year. There are many ads from different dealers. Some for $330K spec, some for $350K and some for $370K spec cars. In almost all cases, at $0 down, min spec monthly payments are $3K for 2.5K miles a year. Add $200 a month for 5K miles a year. Higher specs are another $250 - $400 a month more. New vs used with 1K miles is the trade off for $500 a month more.

For the "is this the best offer or does OP think its a good offer": I do think my offer is reasonable based on above data. Else I would not have started this thread with the numbers I posted. Is it the absolute best - may be not, else it would have had sufficient takers by now.

If someone finds a comparable offer on a similar spec 720S, or would like to make alternative offers, please do. I'll be happy to consider. $0 cash down is a no-go for me (and will never be).

OP is right in that his lease isn;t too bad. However, that is because McLaren leases are usually insanely terrible. So it's all relative.

McLaren depreciation is insane, and that reflects in their leases.

Also, I suspect that the "Lease Special" advertisements by McLaren dealers are on full MSRP of the car. If you walk into a dealership, you'll expect a massive discount off of MSRP. 600LT spiders are going for $50-$60K under for example.

I just think the OP is still failing to acknowledge the depreciation that these cars suffer when used. Which his now is. So it’s not fair to compare his deal to a new car being leased. Look at pricing for buying new 720S’s versus used ones. 100k discount.... that should be reflected when Re-leasing what is now a used vehicle imo.

Sorry to inform you, but if he was a BALLER, he would already have another 720S at the vaca house.

Call any Mclaren dealer, everyone has great deals. I have seen at least 7 new McLarens with temp tags throughout South Jersey and I know for a fact that McLaren Phila is aggressively unloading stock.

From what I understand you can typically only transfer these leases in the state the car is registered. Is this true if this car as well?
