    The other day i challenged myself to think of my favorite song. While there are tons of songs that I would list as my 'favorites' (see my original post) if I were forced to just listen to one song for the rest of my life, this would be it.

    Almost an impossible choice to make, but for me, it would have to be "Black Peter" by the Grateful Dead. The original studio recording, from "Workingmans Dead".

    lots of songs in this thread. But, very, very few "whys".

    Elton John's "Your Song" is, I think, one of the most beautiful love songs ever recorded. The guy has nothing except what's in his heart to give. And he's proud of it. "And you can tell everybody, this is your song".....as if, he doesn't know whether it'll be enough but, if it is....he wants the world to know.

    Another great song is "I don't want to talk about it". Rod Stewart. It's as if.....some things cannot be put into words but, if you'll listen closely enough, you will hear me.
