    No Canepa sole agent.
Cars still available. But gbp 600,000 deposits required with signed contract and maybe you see your car in 2022 if there are no delays. I think if car gets made it will probably be very cool but timeframe too long for me.

Best bet for the rest of us is Lotus knockign it off without the fans and some otehr bits, while using an off the rack mtoor.

Yes a friend deposited his deposit a few weeks ago (for the Track Version) it really existed especially in view of the "Objectives" of this version.

But deliveries for the Track Version are not expected until 2023.

He's going to have to be very patient.

but the whole concept behind this is it being a 'fan car' which is not allowed by racing leagues. weird

Exactly. That’s my main issue - the timeline. Even if I had $3m burning a hole in my pocket, it’s just too long to wait. You are buying a drawing from a startup company that has never made a supercar that is run by a (admittedly very talented) 73 year-old designer. Some of these other Hypercars, even from established companies (eg Mercedes) are suffering from major delays. There is a decent chance the car will never be made.
Having said that, those that do have the courage to put the £600,000 deposit and the further £800,000 (I think) once the car is specced our, will I believe be rewarded in the long term. There is some risk of course that in 2022 we are in a brutal global recession and the hyper car bubble will have burst. I just don’t have enough information to make that decision. Actually if I did have those $3m I’d probably prefer to buy a 288GTO, or an F50 or a Zonda.

Oh that’s a great point. So is there any class in say Les Mans 24 hours that would allow the car?

I guess this is a car for people who have $300m burning a hole in their pocket and already have $100m worth of cars in their basement.

The sheer amount of $2m/$3m cars available for sale is insane.

You forgot the most obvious one. The never ending iterations of the Bugatti Chiron. :)

This feels like 1989. Just waiting for the early 1990s to make a reappearance and all these hypercars get axed or greatly reduced in production. :cough: xj220 and McLaren F1 among others :cough:

Electric motors makes it more likely new crop of hypercars will succeed vs the 90's

Is being delayed quite a bit anyway so doubt it will make it to a race anytime soon. And likely the fan won’t make it through homologation, losing its main advantage. Bet it will post astonishing lap times in road configuration though, if the manual doesn’t hamper it too much.

Frankly, if the car is a real sub 1000kgs car it will be a superbike on four wheels
In this case manual gearbox or not isn't a decisive factor anymore performance wise
