Hi all, I'm searching for a Ferrari 308 for my private collection of vintage cars, my first Ferrari. Preferred version is the carbed version, but no vetroresina. So this mean 1978 or 1979, I assume there was no 1976t or 1977, which wasn't vetroresina. (I might be wrong) Corso Rosso is preferred color, but other colors might be relevant. Interior color not so important, as long as it fits the exterior. I would prefer to be able to inspect the car before purchase, I don't dare to buy without inspecting first. I'm in USA the next 2½ weeks, and are in the area of the following states: California, Arizona and Nevada. State close to these are also relevant. I hope to hear from potential sellers, so I can join the "Ferrari-club" BR Chris
Chris is a legit buyer. I have done business with him with zero issues. whoever has a car for him and possibly have a deal with him will have a smooth and easy deal. Jim
There are 76 / 77 non-vetroresina cars and they are more desirable than the later carbed cars and will be priced accordingly.
Thanks cnpapa24 for clarifying this for me, I didn't know in fact. So good to know. Is there any easy way to spot this from pictures? (I know if I was in front of the car it would be possible to spot, of course)

Hi WKs_1984_308QV Still looking, haven't found the right one yet for me, unfortunately. I do though have a preference for earlier models, meaning the 1977-1979 models. Cheers Chris
Hello, Have a look at this .. Regards, Tom https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1459074937&siteLocale=en_CA
Pre-catalytic carbed cars do not have the extra vent running horizontal across rear decklid. See attached my 77' steel 308 GTB. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Image Unavailable, Please Login Mine also does not have the spoiler. I’ll try and attach a picture. I’m referring to the vents on the rear engine deck lid.
Ok maybe we are commenting on different cars but the Kijiji add that I attached to my first post is of my 77 pre cat car that only has the two side louvers on the deck lid..
At the risk of saying something stupid I’ve gotta admit @JPMD, that I don’t really understand what you’re trying to explain/state? Are you commenting on @Squirrelmonkey’s car or?
Looks nice @Squirrelmonkey, what price are you looking for? (You can answer in PM if preferred) Also, is the car located in Canada? Makes things a lot more complex for me, I fear.
Yes the car is located in Canada.. Im at 60,000 cad which equates to 45,500 US . I imported the car from the US. There are no difficulties with either import or export of vehicles. Trucking costs about 1000 US. Airfare is cheap too if you want to check the car out in person which is what i'd would do..
Ok, I investigate the opportunities.... What’s the level of documentation on the car? Also rust issues?
