I prefer the F8 front to the 488, but I don’t care much for the back of the F8, but this Spider version addresses that, with a more elegant convertible design solution.

I’m blown away by both this F8 Spider and the 812 GTS. How sexy are these new Ferrari convertibles? Ferrari finally has a super convertible line-up and that’s quite a statement coming from a guy that isn’t crazy about convertibles as a rule.

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.

Very few topless cars do not look better than their coupe counterparts. I am anxious to see the F8 spider with the roof up.

And a small presentation from Italian Automoto.it which shows the car with the roof up.

lol- its the same freaking car. All those people calling the F8 a Camaro or Corvette because of the taillights have suddenly gotten lasix surgery on their eyes and can see the form much better now.

I thought the F8 looked great in person and the Spider also looks great.

As many have said, it's the same car as the F8. Although true, I find in both the 458, 488 and now F8, the Spider version creates more visual interest for the rear portion of the car, both with the top up and top down. It is that slight change in the lines of the car that create a different response to the design. I actually like my 458 Spider better than a coupe when it comes to lines of the car, even with the roof up. Likewise, the 430 Spider is "OK" but it in my mind, the "flat" deck does not enhance the styling like its contemporary counterparts.

I think the coupe variants of all these cars look better and I still feel that way with the F8- beautiful design that it is. I'd take the Tributo!

The first car since the 458 spider to look better than the 458 spider -- and that's saying something.

To me the F8 has a lot of the J50 in it

The J50 is as good as anything from Pininfarina

These new cars have a totally different look and are a big departure from what went before, if you took off the Ferrari badge it could be any brand that's producing this level of car. If you took the Ferrari badge off a car that was Pinni designed for Ferrari it would still look like a Ferrari purely from the design. Personally I have ordered an F8 Coupe and I am likely to also take a spider but, I still feel my 458 spider looks more like a Ferrari and will never sell that car, just my 2 cents

Nonsense. Nothing special about Pininfarina cars. They are just another designer that has been replaced by Ferrari internal team. The f8 is gorgeous and as good as any Ferrari from the past.

This love affair with Pinninfarina is just people waxing nostalgic for no reason.

Look at the Barista from Pinninfarina. Nothing special about it. Looks nice and all and it’s a good looking car but f8 is as good if not better.

Cadillac Allante - designed by Pininfarina

La Ferrari - NOT designed by Pininfarina

    I rest my case.

Ferrari has and will continue to do just fine without Pininfarina.

You may want to check that name again.
Or do you mean the Lavazza coffee maker designed by PF?

I'll really get you going now, I also say LaF does not follow previous design language, take all the cars and put them in order of when they were produced, this new design language does not fit in. I'm not saying its bad I'm saying for some including me Pinni will be missed, there is a reason the relationship lasted so long.

    I rest my case :D

The F8 design is too busy for my tastes. It’s not ugly, it’s just not as pretty to me as a 458.

This is not true. Though PF hasn’t hit a Grand slam with every single design. They have consistently created a line of masterpieces that span decades. Ferrari Centro Designo has a long way to go. They have produced some good results. However they are so new their mistakes are right in the forefront and in the showrooms. I also believe that PF is consulting under the table. I think they consulted on the Pista as one example. I really like the SF90 however you can see the new language is more dependent on detail and less on sculpture. This is arguably due to Flavio being an architect first. Flavio will continue to improve.
