    20 years ago, I purchased Ferrari s/n 79729 (1989 Ferrari 328 GTS) from Ferrari of Dallas, and drove it home to Brea, California. In 1996, I let the car go. I saw it a couple of years later in the parking corral at the Concorso Italiano in Monterey. At that time, the car was residing in Oregon.

    S/n 79729 was my first Ferrari, and I would love to repurchase it. If anyone knows where s/n 79729 is located, I would appreciate your assistance.

    Have you had a look through the 328 registry here on F-chat? Knowing these guys, they will probably find her by tomorrow evening! Best of luck!

    also run a car fax for the VIN and you'll get some info.

    Hey Gents!
    After searching for a couple of years. I am still looking for the 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS (s/n 79729) I purchased from Ferrari of Dallas back in 1994. If you know where it is or who currently owns it, I'd really appreciate your help.

    Did you try carfax or autocheck? That should get you the last known registration point at least .....

    Being french (nobody's perfect...) I haven't a clue about the different internet sources and services available in the US, so I can't vouch for the interest, usefullness, accuracy, etc..of this one, but by googling the full VIN of the car (=ZFFXA20AXK0079729) I found this. Dunno if it helps...
