Can anyone document current sales prices for Mondial T's in the last year? I highly doubt anything is moving in the mid to high $50's.

It's certainly a buyers' market for the Ferrari enthusiast. Also a "kid in a candy store" experience. :)

Value of 1989 US Dollars today:
    • $88,000 in 1989
    • $183,716.46 in 2019
The inflation rate in the United States between 1989 and today has been 108.77%, which translates into a total increase of $95,716.46. This means that 88,000 dollars in 1989 are equivalent to 183,716.46 dollars in 2019. In other words, the purchasing power of $88,000 in 1989 equals $183,716.46 today. The average annual inflation rate has been 2.4%.

Have you seen the recent Hagerty's post about the Volvo P1800?

    https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2019/01/17/green-1972-volvo-1800e-record-price

For my $88,000 I could have bought at least ten pristine used Volvo P1800 back then and today my stash would be worth almost $1M!

But no, I got a Mondial t instead and I am told here that it is barely worth $50,000... :(

    Oh well. :D

I found 2 Mondials stored in a heated commercial garage.
I can't afford both cars so I'll offer the red one for the form before all his cars go to the estate auction.
The owner was a car collector and these cars sat right next to a shelby cobra.
Both need complete runthrough before starting for they have been sitting for 10 or so years.
I am friends with the family but they also don't have any service records just memories of driving in the cars with their father.

    Black one Mine!!

    Red One
    Miles 44k
    Sitting for 8 years
That's all I the information available we don't have any service records.
I'll have some real pictures after this weekend.
Similar condition to mine and same owner.
Might have salvage title, (mine did)
    Price is $17,000.00
    Cheers

A 1990 T cabrio sold on BaT for $29,000 in July, and an 89 T coupe for $45,000 in June.

On eBay all the recent sales have been 83-88s.

Very nice blue! VALEO: very sad story, there was a time the premium on the price made sense because of the limited production numbers, but now it's a PITA because technology is no longer available and valeo experts can be counted on one hand. I would personally convert valeo into a manual gearbox.

I am selling my 1986 Mondial 3.2 Coupe. 57,824 miles. As some of you may recall I bought her in Oakland California last year from the original owner, then drove her home to Connecticut over 10 days. I have added about 8,000 miles in the last 13 months. Timing belts have 8,000 miles and are 13 months old. During my ownership I have changed the engine and gearbox oil, air filter, axle boots, and alternator belt. Just fitted BF Goodrich Comp2 A/S all around in the factory recommended dimensions. I have all receipts from new, 3 sets of keys, owners wallet with manuals, and original tools.

A $16,000 major service was undertaken by the previous owner in 2013 (10,000 miles ago) after the car came out of storage.

The car is an original time capsule, runs perfectly, has zero rust and has never been in an accident. All electrics work including sunroof. The A/C is not functioning - a receipt from a few years ago claims it would not take charge and was "blocked". This never bothers me as I always drive windows down to enjoy the engine note. Cosmetically, the car has small chips and dings consistent with mileage, but the original paint is still spectacular. Interior is the same deal, with some minor wear showing.

I have just had her professionally photographed in preparation for a BringaTrailer listing, but wanted to give the Ferrari-chatters first option. Check out my posts here and and BringaTrailer (wharfbanger) for more impressions of my ownership.

Reason for selling: buying a sailboat. Asking price: $34,000

    Gorgeous!

If anyone wants local eyes on this, my Army office is in West Hartford and I'd be willing to give you a good rundown on what it's like in person.

Wow! I can't believe that you're selling it already! :( However, if I were still in the market for a 3.2 Coupe, I would be ALL over this! No ABS on the 86s, correct? $34K seems like such a screaming deal for the car. I mean, c'mon, you're not going to pick up a 57K mile '86 Carrera in equivalent condition for that price. It would be at least $50K.

I hope that this gets snapped up before it goes to BaT, but will be looking forward to the auction if it does last that long. Oh, and don't let anyone low-ball you on your car. Unfortunately, it's happened to other Fchat Mondial owners recently.

While you're correct about the labor force available to work on these cars, I would personally never convert one. I had that opportunity when I couldn't get mine running well for quite some time. Then along came Dave Helms and his knowledge, and when I got that car back it was so special. A properly sorted Valeo is unlike anything I've ever driven, and I mean that in a good way.

I am really interested in a mondial, but trying so hard not for rossa c. This is quite tempting as a good custodian and a well cared for marque. Needs a major service for many more miles of high end driving.

Note timing belts were done 8000 miles / 13 months ago (receipt available). Timing belts are the main item of concern for a 30,000 mile / 5 year major service. This car does not require a major service yet and can be driven with confidence.

So I am not selling..clarity came while I was photographing the tool kit for BaT and noticed all the Ferrari stamped wrenches were present. That did me in, I have decided it is a unicorn....

Still it was fun making the video, I think I figured out how to get the sound right
