Certainly beautiful...I remember when a Drogo was $150,000.00 I would like to see side by side comparisons of this car and the real...then the truth comes out! GLWS!
I saw one of these Allegretti 250 GTOs, an Alegretti 250SWB and an Allegretti California Spider (built on a 365 chassis!) back around 1999-2000 with a collector in Germany. He was selling them and each was around $110,000.
Here’s the link to the $70MM Ferrari. https://nypost.com/2018/06/01/holy-grail-of-ferraris-sells-for-record-70m/
The Allegretti in the original post of this thread is now listed on BaT. (No affiliation) https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1965-ferrari-330gt-2/
I would love to have that car. It would cause many freakouts until it was found to be a recreation. Probably about 75% of the original driving experience.
Yes, looks like he brought his daughter into the business. Good for her. His name is on the spec sheet in the original post in this thread, so he has been involved for some time.
Why 75%? Just curious. I’d suspect close to 100 for some of the really good replicas (Pur Sang), but could be well wrong since I don’t know much about this one.
Very very tempting to bid on this. What is the old saying ? You buy the engine and the chassis is thrown in for free.
Sold at 420k. Im so glad it went over my head. I was agonising when it was 255 when I posted a few minutes ago.
