We all know the unrestricted Porsche 919 has a 5:19 lap record. So how much slower a regular LMP1 car would go? Any idea? :)

That would be the Toyota TS050 Hybrid.

Difficult to say since the technology is similar but as we know, Porsche took a few liberties
and likely stripped out a lot of weight and added on some trick aero.

Asking for a bit of speculation.

More importantly, Indy or Daytona? ;)

serious answer, at Spa the 919 EVO was ~12% faster than the qualifying time for the WEC-legal 919; so if you extrapolate out, you'd get a lap time somewhere around 6 minutes (5:57), which is still 11 seconds below Bellof's 956 lap record.

some of our resident racing engineers can feel free to fact/math check that.

Nice. Thanks for that. As good an answer as possible I suppose without digging to much into track differences, straight line speeds, etc.
