Hi everyone - I saw a post on ferrarichat from over a decade ago, but this site has grown so much I figured why not get everyone’s current take on it...

I recently scratched one of my diamond-cut wheels on a curb. It’s a small scratch by most accounts, but I just can’t un-see it and it’s been bumming me out a bit. I’m guessing at least a few others here can relate... it’s certainly not bad enough to warrant replacing the wheel, so I was curious if anyone has experience/success getting rim scratches fixed? (At a Ferrari dealership or otherwise). I uploaded pictures in case anyone cares.

....or is this just a silly question and the answer is just “live with the blemish or get a new wheel” ?

    Thanks!

Not sure where you are located but in the mid Atlantic there's a company called AWRS (alloy wheel repair specialists) who repaired the 360 wheels on my 348 and did a darn fine job.

Thanks! I’m in CT, so unfortunately can’t make it out there, but it’s good to know skilled guys can do it.

That's small enough to fill and flash repaint yourself, IMO.

Those companies will charge, like $175 in Houston, to weld it and repaint the whole thing.
    But it will look new.

The damage is bad enough to keep me up all night. Definitely needs to be completely refurbished. Kwiksilver in Warminster, PA has repaired wheels for me and done a great job.

Well, you could go for a high end shop refinish on the wheel with all kinds of TwitBook and FaceSnap photos along the way. But that would show up on the CarFax and you’d lose $20k in resale.

Or you could buy four replacement wheels to make sure they match exactly, but then they wouldn’t be original and you’d have to explain why not, losing at least $30k or $40k in resale.

Or, you could just stop over thinking the whole thing, fix the damn wheel, and enjoy the drive.

It’s not a big deal, really, and pretty much any sect shop can do the job.

Sorry for the scuff. I remember the first one I’ve had on each car has ticked me off, but it really isn’t a big deal.
