So finally done with the garage, I was dealt a 2-car garage and less than a 10 foot ceiling. Did a AC Lifts single post. I love it, an extra foot to work with parking the GranSport and 328. Also had epoxy floor done and custom shelves. Trying to keep things clean and organized. My Tundra fits in there with 9 inches to spare.

Wow nice, I did the mid rise scissor lift since I only had 9.5 feet. Do you have access to the underside of the car ?

I did the diamond plate option so 100% covered, but panels are easy to remove if you wanted to change oil etc.

I assume you anchored the top of the lift to the ceiling or wall?

don't need to, it is over 6k pounds rated, maybe 7-8k, but I won't have anything over 4k.

there is a 4 foot footing you can't see. Makes car rise less than 2 inches driving over.

Rob, I have the same AC lift in my townhouse. Fortunately the ceiling height is 11ft so no issues. I had it installed a few years ago and I have to say it’s been really great. Perfect for storage, detailing etc.

Looks good! I will probably end up parking forward not to bang door, but easier pulling out ally.

Wish I had that much height in my townhouse garage! Looks great!

At least mine is an over-sized 4 car :D. If I had that much height, I would never move!

Looks like there is very little clearance between the 328 and the ceiling. Do these single posts require you to raise the height a few inches to lift them off the locks to lower ?

I have a 4 post from AC Lifts and a low (9'8") ceiling as well so just curious.

Yes, you have to lift it slightly to release the locks. Your ceiling height of 9'8" might be a little low but call American Custom Lifts to find out. The post beam height is about 9 ft so you're close.

I had mine custom made to my garage. I think my garage 9'9" or so. With 328 and Gransport I have almost a foot to spare.

    Looks nice.

Might think about putting some foam on the ends of the ramp.

they're easy to remove, just a danger when garage open. think I'll start taking them down when car is left up. they are like a knife neck level. :D

AC lift question.... I have one on order as well (cant wait). Did you guys have post tension slabs? i have and im paying to have floor X-Rayed before install to make sure NOTHING cut or hit when drilling into floor..

just curious if any of you dealt with that? My OCD kicking in!! and would love some personal experience and feedback!

    thanx

Never seen that - can you even open the door on the bottom car to get out?
