Zandvoort will be the same - just boring. Layout is almost the same as Hungary. I understand somehow that they want to cash in on the Max euphoria, but don't think (and don't hope) that we will see that race on the calendar for very long (don't get me wrong - I like the location and the setting on the beachside, great place - just not for F1).

At this point I'd rather watch the NASCAR Trucks going around backwards in reverse than F1.

I agree, Zandvoort is a track for GT and Touring cars.

Monaco will survive on the F1 calendar simply because it brings glamour to F1 and his an historical circuit.
That's how it gets all the exemptions from the FIA, and Liberty.

If they really want to make Monaco interesting, put all the drivers in go carts and let them have at it. Turn it into celebrity, no points race for fun. The crowd gets to mix and mingle and no pressure on the drivers other than pride.

+1 as I post before make it a charity race. Its not much of a race without rain or destruction of expensive cars not designed to run on its layout optimally.

But there are other races that are as boring considering overtaking but not nearly as exciting to watch... I think it is pretty fascinating to stand in the narrow streets of Monaco and see cars blasting through compared with circuits where you are miles away and the run-off areas are huge. Despite I will never be anywhere near as fast as the F1 drivers I still get the impression that I might drive fast around those modern tracks but I can't imagine running fast around Monaco like they do without crashing latest at the casino. Monaco is the track that makes current drivers look nearest as outstanding as those driving F1 60 years ago. So Monaco would be the very last track to remove from the circus and as said the "boring action" does not differ from many other boring races. Face it: today's F1 is always boring if there are not special circumstances, remember some really boring races in Monza

I think it’s difficult to justify removing any circuit at the moment on the basis of boredom, as every race is pretty boring, save the ones where there’s a lot of rain, or for some reason, Mercedes mess up... you’d end up with no races at all. With Monaco, the race is almost a sideshow to the business that gets done on the boats in the harbour and the glamour on the streets. I doubt anyone there ever cares much about what happens in the race, knowing the result is pretty much dictated by qualifying and the pit stop strategies, what difference would it make really to lose it? I for one enjoy Monaco for Monaco, it’s a one off, and a shame to lose it. Silverstone I wouldn’t miss in a million years, always boring, stale circuit, little atmosphere, and too many Elton fans wandering around with a dazed look on their faces. Give me Monza any time over most of the circuits
