550 chassis number registry?

Also interesting to know how many of these are in the USA.

 

Would be great if there were a registry as good as the one for the 330GT. 330 GT Registry

 

Fall out over the years for these kind of cars is low. I suspect only 5%-10% where destroyed during this period.
We tried to do it on a Porsche SC and where surprised at the low number of write offs we found over 30 years. It does not mean they are perfect but they still are out there.

The UK has numbers for the 575. 52 where on the road once. Today still 32 are on the road and 29 are SORN. But Eurospares only processed 3 575 in 10 years for spares.

Now I know that Eurospare is not the only one but it gives a feeling. Also they buy LHD from mainland as well. So....

So if I had a guess I would say that in the UK 32 are on the road , about 5 where destroyed and the remainder is sitting somewhere under a blanket.

Just to clarify that I think you have got confused with the numbers you have quoted for UK cars. There were 251 575s supplied new to the UK. I know there are at least 192 currently registered in the UK, not all of which were supplied new to the UK initially. I also know there are at least 46 cars that were registered in the UK and are no longer. I guess your numbers came from the HowManyLeft website but that doesn't give correct figures for Ferraris because the models are not recorded correctly.

Jonathan- The number I have for RHD UK 575Ms is 246, so we are very close. There are quite a few LHD Euro spec 575Ms in the UK, too, from when the pound was high and the euro low. A few of the RHD 575Ms have gone to Australia and other locations, too.

 

Terry, Yes indeed. I wasn't making any inference as to what has happened to the cars no longer registered in the UK and you're quite right that some exist elsewhere. Of the 192 I know to be currently registered in the UK, 25 are LHD (twice that number of LHD 550s in the UK currently).
