To start off, daily updates are on instagram @lamborfuckinghini and here's my daily driver / parts hauler: My current trio: Image Unavailable, Please Login Onto the subject at hand. recently picked up this car that was last registered in '99, not running, but otherwise in great shape with low miles. Going to get it on the road and see if the chassis is as fun as it looks. If so, it will likely get a motor swap as I have a problem with keeping things stock and like to be drunk with power. lol Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login it's in good company Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login first meeting of my cars Image Unavailable, Please Login new parts Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Original brake calipers are seized. There really isn't much room in the front fender for a big tire. Here's the 235/60 on the front, car couldn't be lowered to the ground as there was interference. I would have preferred a true square set up on the car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
These showed up from KW . . . now I can kill the pre-runner stance. Image Unavailable, Please Login Oh, and working on those new brakes. Stock front wheels definitely won't work Image Unavailable, Please Login

Image Unavailable, Please Login Onto more updates. . . My fabricator just so happens to be a suspension engineer. He took a quick look at the front of the car and noted that the front wheels should be moved rearward to provide adequate clearance and based on the design of the front suspension, the sway bar doubles as a torsion bar, he added some spacers to it and the wheels/tires now clear the fender. Much easier to gain clearance than what we were expecting. before: Image Unavailable, Please Login after: Image Unavailable, Please Login He also raised it a bit: Image Unavailable, Please Login He went ahead and rolled all the fenders for extra clearance. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login He is also making some brackets to allow 1-2 degrees of camber on the front. Will obviously help with handling, but also will help give even more clearance for the front tire.
Good to see the community isn't completely full of purists. Onto the DMC. When lowering the car to this level, the front tires end up with 1 degree of negative camber. By modifying the upper control arm, we were able to get 3.5 degrees of negative camber at this level (can go with less camber) and sill able to service the joints. For reference the rear is at 3 degree of negative camber without any adjustment. If the car was higher, the degree of negative camber would be decreased. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login before/after: Image Unavailable, Please Login Is there any interest in negative camber adjustment for the front? We can make plates to allow DIY modification or the upper arms could be sent to the fabricator for modification.

Great thread. Ive driven a Delorean from Los Angeles to Miami and back. It was a super comfortable highway GT but I never felt it was a 'sports car' so interested to see what you do with this.
That's a hell of a drive. Thanks! It's a unique car that has always had my attention. Cannot wait to spend some time in it. Fronts mounted ... and fit with plenty of room to spare Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Rear rotors with spacers Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's a very underpowered V-6. It won't live up to the brakes and suspension. I can't wait to see what you replace it with! Matt
