US 2.7 car? Looks very nice! Power windows and A/C, I see as well. Did the 75 US Carreras have the rear flares from the factory, or was that a modification? I have a 75 911S myself. I really like that era of 911, and they are starting to finally get some respect.
My 75 is guards red now, originally silver. If I need to repaint it (which I probably will), I will put it back to silver.
No, I just got it and I'm having too much fun with it. Plus, it's very hard to find an original, solid mid-year 911 that hasn't been modified like crazy.
Does anyone know the source of the non-factory Carrera side trim used on this car? In the day the only trim was plain black or a bright gold. This is much nicer on the eyes and a great alternative to BRIGHT gold.
Looks to be the script used on ‘74 Carrera RS3.0’s. They had a black outline. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/948334-correct-75-rs-3-0-decals.html
Cam4GT: I forgot about that distinction with the edging. This looks so much lower key but I'm starting to think the gold simply doesn't look so bright against that vivid yellow. I'll be invetigating these. Thanks!
Have you seen the 75 911S coupe on BaT right now? $56k and heading up! The color, Gulf Blue, and some special features from new really help, but still...
