    Hotel Mumbai

I watched this last night. It's based on what's known as India's 9/11, this is a phenomenal film, with superb acting and fine cinematography. Absolutely riveting right from the beginning and through till the end.

Review - ‘Hotel Mumbai’ Is a Gripping, Deeply Humane Depiction of Real-Life Terrorism, By Rex Reed

Hotel Mumbai, galvanizing and powerful in its deeply moving depiction of real people caught up in the unexpected November 2008 terrorist attacks on the posh Taj Mahal Palace hotel that claimed 30 lives in the political chaos of Mumbai—India’s financial capitol as well as its most modern and populous city—is one of the best films of its kind. There isn’t a single wasted frame in this movie, which is both richly detailed and economically direct in its emotional impact—all the more astounding for a first feature film. The director is Australia’s Anthony Maras, who wrote the riveting screenplay with John Collee, and the perfect cast includes Dev Patel, Armie Hammer and Jason Isaacs. The applause is justified.

My mother saw it too and said it was hard to watch bc of the violence. The movie barely got any press. I will def watch it.

I kind of like it a bit better than the previous ones and I don’t know about the previous ones but this one is base on true story as it was explained at the end.

Watched two movies this weekend, that individually, I've realistically seen 50 times collectively. I watched Casino and The Dark Knight.

FINALLY got around to watching 'Us' and boy-o-boy did I not enjoy it. I'll preface by saying that I thought 'Get Out' was fantastic and directed well. 'Us' however was the definition of pretentious and I was left with a "what did I just watch?" feeling. Seemingly, there was a hidden message in every thing, every scene, every conversation,...just everything. I want to be entertained and if it makes me think I'm all for it. BUT, if the movie itself suffers because the director is too concerned about what the message is opposed to making a quality movie then I'm out as a viewer. It had the potential to be a game-changing movie but it was executed so poorly.

Better than I expected. I read reviews that people were disappointed with Captain Marvel and said to watch that instead, but I preferred Captain Marvel...

Also saw Spiderman in 4dx a couple weeks back...will not do 4dx again. It was too distracting with the chair moving (not comfortable as no leg rest, but elevated). And the pressurized air and water spraying at your head did not add anything at all...took away from the movie.

Saw the "remake" of Pet Sematary and while I enjoyed Lithgow, it wasn't anything that new from the original. The collective acting from the cast was solid but it was a remake and a remake with only ONE noticeable change (a big one but just one). The movie is the definition of if you've seen it once there's no reason to see it again.

3 hours was a little too long...not sure how well the upcoming films will do now the main series is over and everything else appears as a spinoff series.

Good to know the Fast and Furious franchise is keeping it up. I like watching it as it's so ridiculous it's funny to me.

I watched I,Tonya again. Margot Robbie and Allison Janney did a great job. It's a pretty decent movie.

Tonya got paid $1500 for the rights...which is a pretty big kick in the nuts haha.

It was amazing, very well done and great acting, esp by the staff of the hotel. Very violent but then so was the real event. Made me think so many times, what would have happened if 4 or 5 guys would have had a gun...
