What ever happened to Blu Sera?

    This is a colour that everyone seems to love for 60/70s Ferrari and it appears to me that maybe 20% of all of the ones I saw in RM Auctions past sales were this colour - well maybe if we weed out red...

    Why did the colour disappear and not make it into the 60/70s historic colour palate as it would seem to be head and shoulders more popular than the other blues that are in that range?

    Also did the formulation change during that period as the Dinos we see in that colour lack some of the vibrance of the earlier cars?

    I thought it was mainly an 80’s color.

    Seen it on many 308 / 328 348, testarossa and a 94 355

    It’s just unusual for a colour to be so popular and then disappear. Popular though to the 80s and then not at all. It’s just curious.

    Sera Azzure = Evening Blue. This was beautiful on 328s.

    my 85 Mondial is Blu Sera.

    I agree completely that this is one of the most beautiful colors Ferrari used.

    Its one thats always hard to get a true view of as it seems to change a lot with light but unfortunately the last car in Blu Sera I saw was in the shade. Was Blu Sera kind of superseded by TDF Blu? Similar in certain light.

    Indeed many people says love blue Ferrari but few buy them. Take car at "Blue" there was 4 different blue available at that time for the 328
