A machinist could fabricate one for you, which would likely hold up better than a used one (or if any ‘new’ ones lying around a shelf these past almost 40 years), no?

That is my secong option. The ring is not as simple as it looks. Beside several phases it has a ring groove wich is vital as a 1mm wire sets into it holding the ring in place.
So if I can get an original one I go for it, if not it is the lathe option...

    Thanks

I do not think these are special for our cars in spite of us having hydraulic suspension. The spring perches should be the same for all Koni's with same spring ID/OD (mainly ID). Koni tech service in Holland is usually quite helpful even if they will not rebuild our shocks. Otherwise a search of alternate cars with same diameter spring should turn up the Koni part, even if you had to buy a new shock.

I am surprised about the wire retainer. I have changed my rear shocks and did not have this feature on the spring perches, they are just held in place by the springs.

Simply make a full circle new one using your sample in a lathe with the groove/s you need and cut in half.

    Dear All,

I meanwhile had one made by a machinist. Hope it will work out. I still have to install it when I get the new gas spheres for the rear axle.
Thanks for all your suggestions and help.
