Specialized ECU also has an immobilizer bypass that's been out for a number of years. I've looked inside one of those and understand what they're doing, but my interest is in getting these cars back to the way they left the factory and not yanking security equipment out of them. I frankly don't see the point. I've never seen one fail except in a flood car. Any issue can be fixed with a little education about the system and if you take it out you still need the fobs to lock and unlock the doors or you need to install some aftermarket system to replace it. Most people like to keep their Ferraris stock and I can accomplish that for a lot less than a dealer would charge. It's impressive that he figured it out but it's not something I'd ever do to my car.

    Chad/Toon you're on the list.
    Andrew, love to have you.
Craig, sent you a PM but everyone is welcome between 10-12. After that I cannot promise that there will be wings. If FBB is delayed that means more for everyone however. ;)
So far just the 2 turkeys in the fryer?
Surprise guest, is he bringing tri-tip? :D

FYI: if you want to do 2 in 1- just before Stoogefest, and by Vince’s House, is South Bay Ferrarri’s Saturday Shift Meeting (C&C), with prizes (if you register).

Saw that about SB Ferrari. Went last month and met a cool Ferrari owner who also works on his own cars. I will be too busy to attend this week, but yeah, go hang out if you like. BTW, our 348's are considered vintage and get preferred parking. Woohoo!

What time is the South Bay Ferrari event?

Just looked it up. 7;30 to 9;00. Too early for me. Plan to arrive at Stooge around 10:30 - 11:00. Bringing turkey and Limoncello

Small drinking cup for the actual Limoncello- C's or D's preferable to hold it, but I'm not picky. As long as there is cleavage, it should work.

Sure. I make them with scraps from the scientific stuff so they are 5 mm thick and great to put in the freezer, can even stick to your lips if cold enough LOL
I'll make some more this week, takes a few days to make

We sort of worked on cars, but mostly we ate drank and told some whoppers. We ate 2 fried turkeys, 2 tri-tip roasts, 8 lbs of wings and then some healthy stuff, followed by some serious deserts - Portos, apple pie, cookies galore, fruit salads and lastly a limoncello salute with Peter's amazing home brew. We did have an oil change so it wasn't a lost tech session. ;)

Oh, and the turkey episode happened when a portion of the last fired turkey was deemed to require a bit more heat. Unfortunately we all lost track of the time and with a turkey fryer at 375 degrees, it doesn't take long until you have essentially turkey charcoal. This is why the chef doesn't drink until the food is on.
