Looking to sell my 2001 Clio V6. The car is located just north of Toronto in Ontario Canada. The car is not legal to import into the US, although at least 1 has been imported legally under the show and display rule. Happy to help you with that if its something you want to look into. I like nice drives, and don't mind airplane rides home Happy to ship this to any country that it's legal in. I bought the car in 2016, imported from Japan and landed in Canada 1 month after it was legal 15 years to the month here). Currently has about 65,800Km on it In my care the car has gotten: 2016- new tires, new wiper, oil change 2017- alignment, oil change, new battery 2018- thermostat, oil change, new OEM Hella headlights. Old ones had yellowed from the JDM sun (internally not the lenses) Only modifications are a Renault Sport shift knob and an aftermarket exhaust (which sounds glorious!) The car has had the hood painted and there are a few small spider webs in the fiberglass/plastic body work. The car is an absolute joy to drive, surprisingly comfortable, and loud. You and the motor share the space, what did you expect? I am am asking $45,000 Canadian, open to offers. There are two others for sale at 55 (bad shape) and 62 (mint), i have priced this to hopefully sell sort of quick. The car has been in Autostrada magazine, and was a feature on Jalopnik https://jalopnik.com/the-mid-engine-2001-renault-sport-clio-v6-is-just-as-un-1829088149 lots more pics here: https://scarfonephoto.smugmug.com/Renault-Clio-V6 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, I’d love to have it. I’d buy tomorrow if only we in the Land of the Free didn’t have a ridiculous 25 year import rule. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Image Unavailable, Please Login I need to sell one car. If this won’t go I’ll offer up my low KM almost bone stock 1992 Escort Cosworth Motorsport edition. Pm me for details
Cossie is US legal right now . Build date of May 1992. Very early car, one of the 2500 homologation cars and a Motorsport version which is really rare to find in one piece. Original sold new to Italy
What is the difference between the homologation model vs the regular one? Ever think of selling it at auction? Maybe import it yourself into the US, then bring it to auction. I think if it is that rare, some folks might have a strong interest.
The first 2500 built are know as the homologation cars. Ford had to build 2500 to qualify the car for WRC group A. the early cars have a bigger turbo, different ECU, wikipedia does a better job than i can https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Escort_RS_Cosworth Oh she is a rare one. I've actually had 5 other big turbo homologation cars (from mild mods to an ex track car i put an interior in and put it back on the road), but this one being a stripped out motorsports version that is so close to stock, is really what makes it something rare. I'll probably go the bring a trailer route once i get a few cosmetic things done.
what would you like for it? It kindo of intrigues me. You can PM me if you would prefer not to post it. sweet car!
I regret selling mine almost a decade ago but recently i bought this! Image Unavailable, Please Login
