Wanted Mercedes 560SEC

I recommend checking B-a-T, this summer has been the very busiest with SEC listings and I distinctly remember two smoke silver cars.

I've owned my '91 SEC now for 6 years and finally have it running in tip top shape. These are great cars and I project that they will continue to trend upward in value and demand. It wasn't that long ago the market was flooded with $1000 SECs, now those cars have been crushed or reside as a project or living the charmed life in someone's garage.

She is a beaut!!! I would absolutely love to have this one in my garage.

I had an 86 SEC that I just donated earlier this year. It was an 8-footer visually outside and needed some work on the interior, ran well and strong. Unfortunately, the last straw was when it started to leak gas in the rear, and I just didn't have time or money to put into it. Of course, leaky gas means wife not happy at all and get rid of it asap!

I’m sorry I had to let it go..maybe best car I had,maybe ever had..case still being debated.

Looks like a nice car, not a "turd" at all, I really like red on a SEC.

I've rebuilt my SEC from the ground up mechanically and cosmetically and they are fairly straight forward to work on. For me reviving the air conditioning was the most challenging and also expensive (I kept it all R12 as designed). My car has 158,000 miles and it runs like a champ. you would never know by looking at it. Ownership has its ups and downs like any old car, but in my opinion it was well worth it.

 

Gas leaks are common on old MB cars,On mine a rubber fuel line cracked recently and was pouring gas out. I replaced the line and both pumps while there , wasn't too expensive
