Decided to do a little upgrade to the F12. Bought the full engine Carbon Fiber set and door sill plates from David at Exotic Car Gear. Looks great, exact match to the Ferrari weave on the interior and other bits that were carbon fiber from the factory. I think it looks good...

One side benefit, after weighing the original parts and the CF parts I saved just a tad over 3lbs. So with this cosmetic upgrade and the TDF wheels I am down just under 40lbs total weight savings from original.

This is why I drive naked. It’s cheaper than carbon.

How was the fit? And did you install? Was wondering how difficult it would be.
    Thanks,

Yes I did it myself.. Fit was exact. Took longer to take all the screws out than the actual install.

The only issue (minor) on the power steering overflow, you have to zip tie the drain hose to the body of the plastic overflow to keep it tight against it. On the original plastic piece there is a bit of a cut out to let the tube recess a bit. On the CF part that cut out/recess is not there. took me 2 extra minutes to put a zip tie to keep the tube lower so it would fit better without dislodging.

All in all took about 1.5 - 2 hours from start to finish for the 5 piece engine bay and the 2 sill plates to put on. There are 6-7 allen screws per piece you have to take out, then on the side pieces you have to take the weather stripping out, to remove the old pieces of plastic - and inserting the new ones. The fit was perfect, same exact gap between the body and CF pieces allowing the weather stripping to snap back in place (groove)..

Not bad - takes a skill level of 1-2 to do it. Just time to get all the allen screws out, then back in.

Thanks Richard, I’m going to check and see if they make for a 599.
